Weight Vocabulary Cards and Word Wall! Your students will LOVE learning with this set of 8 weight vocabulary trading cards that will perfectly compliment to your measurement unit. The activity involves providing students with visuals, definitions and examples of the weight vocabulary on the filled out trading cards and then having them restate this in their own words and draw pictures on their own blank weight trading cards. An enlarged version of the cards is provided to post on your classroom bulletin board or word wall to surround students with the weight vocabulary and provide as many opportunities as possible to refer to it in a variety of contexts.

• 8 weight trading cards with the word and a picture of something that weighs approximately that much on the front. The backside states whether it’s metric or U.S. customary, its abbreviation and several different equivalencies.

• The same 8 weight cards that are more interactive. They have the same words on the front but students need to draw their own pictures. On the back they have to circle whether it’s metric or U.S. customary and write the correct abbreviation and equivalencies.

• 8 cards that aren’t filled out with space to add more weight terms to.
